July 20th Venetian Day Features Children’s Play And Sundaes
NAPLES, Fla. (July 9, 2009) - Keep the kids cool at The Village on Venetian Bay on Monday, July 20 with 20 percent off of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream sundaes, a free KidzAct performance inside an air conditioned store and a chance to play in The Village’s new interactive water fountain. The July 20 Venetian Day celebration includes The Naples Players’ performance of “Little Red Riding Hood Meets the Three Little Pigs” at 1:00 p.m. and again at 2:00 p.m. The shows will take place inside a storefront-turned-theater next door to Pearl on the north side of The Village.
Between KidzAct performances guests will hear live entertainment from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. adjacent to a patio of in-ground water spouts where children can play while parents shop.
Many Village stores will offer savings. The Paper Merchant offers 10 percent off of anything in the stationery store. Along with great savings on Patchington’s colorful clothes, shoppers can have free facials and register for a $25 gift certificate and other prizes. Taffeta will offer an additional 20-60 percent off sale items and a free beach bag with a minimum $50 purchase while supplies last. Terrida, specialists in handmade Italian luggage, offers 20 percent off their entire stock and a free Venetian tote ($700 value) with the purchase of a Venetian collection trolley suitcase. Wildflower will have a bargain rack of items for $20, while they last.
These stores and many others will serve wine and snacks, coffee and desserts during the day and restaurants will feature discounts such as the two for $20 lunches at M Waterfront Grill and Bayside Seafood Grill and Bar. Villagio will host a cook-out in the courtyard and offer every 20th hot dog for free. Miramare offers two-course lunch specials for $9.09 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a first seating three-course dinner for $18.09 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Artichoke & Company, all diners sip a complimentary glass of wine with lunch, with every 20th customer receiving lunch on the house. The Village Pub will have 20 cent draft beers with the purchase of an entrée. Ben and Jerry’s will be giving a 20 percent off on all sundaes sold that day.
The Village on Venetian Bay is hosting Venetian Days the twentieth of each month to celebrate more than 20 years of art and enterprise at 50 storefronts owned by local Naples residents.
